Just wondering if anyone has either been on a crew team, or currently rows(either recreational or competitivley).
I've rowed for five years now, and compared to any other sport, find that I burn more calories per hour this way. So if any of you are looking to lose some weight quickly, and build some muscle, go out and use or buy a rowing machine. _________________ '81 924 n/a |

I used to. I do a lot of athletics, cycling, swimming, tri and duathlon. I agree, I found that the rowing machines (more so than out on the boat with my 'never perfected' technique) burnt loads of calories. _________________ 1983 - 924 (185K miles) - not mint

i row on a machine quite a bit to build up my endurance for dragonboating so I dont really row, I paddle!
My work has a team an we're in our 4th season. We train very heard and we've won medals and trophies every season. Last year we took the nationals in our grade. We usually race with higher grade teams too at some regattas and beat them too!! _________________ '86 944 |

I'm going to build a Viking ship someday to be buried in. I hope to learn to row it first. _________________ Ryan Moone

I think with all my friends doing the same, I'll have a crew, as well as I'll be a crew member for a friends boat. _________________ Ryan Moone
