Hi Guys,

Damn i miss this board and my apologies for my dissapperance..

Since my last post a few things have been done to my car

The rear quarters were cut off and the 944 turbo ones have been fitted,
also a 968 rear bumper cover has been fitted too and looks real sweet!

My first lambo door is fitted up to the car which was completed today and i promised to tell you guys the hindge is made by GTF and took alot of work to fit! some people might think its a bit ricey but once you see a few pics im sure you will change that opinion lol.. The doors really suit the car and the body shop has had people walking in all day just to have a look hehe

Whats left to do bodywise is: Fit the vented side sills, front wings, front bumper and badge panel.. These will all be moulded together like the back has been and should look real sweet!!

Small question i have is:
I would like to fit 944 Turbo brakes all round and was wondering if anyone has all the parts i need to do so and if not were would you suggest i get them? How much am i looking at for this converstion?

Hope you guys are still loving all our decals

Nice to be back here again!!

Post some pics of the work in progress. Sounds good. There's a 944 turbo for sale here at the moment with the lambo doors, I thought when I read the ad but I liked the picture of it.

How easy did you find the 968 rear bumper to fit? I'm considering starting to get the parts together for it. Know nothing about the process, but it seems to just fit in place of the original bumper and lights, but I'm not sure how it would fit around the side behind the rear wheels with a 924/944???

Don't know about the turbo brakes. 924 5 lugs are meant to be pretty great (and I believe that the 4 lug brakes are very good when adjusted and with good rubber on).

Fancy buying seanski's car for the brakes?

Hi Chris,

Ill take some pics tomorrow for you of the work in progress
I have never seen lambo doors on a 24/44 and am very curious about this 944 turbo! do you have a link or a picture of it? Im praying to find a pic on your next post hehe

to fit the 968 bumper you have to cut out a bigger gap were the rear lights are and i had to mold the rear bumper and the rear quarters together and it wasnt the easiest job but definately was well worth it!

Wish i could buy a parts car from over there but bringing it in would be too much hassle and large costs involved.. shame is there arent many 924's/994's in malta.. there is one for sale right now which is a 944 turbo and is prices at lm12,000 which is a few hundred under 20,000 sterling

i definately need to change the brakes thou as since the rear quarters have been changed the wheels are literally hiding inside them..

just finding it hard to get my hands on a complete set of fronts and rears

Thanks,
SparkY (Mark)

Hmm... scissor doors. I'm a little bit of a "Purist", I guess. Generally, I'm more impressed with really good original cars than highly modified ones. That goes for any cars, not just Porsches.

But I'd love to see these scissor doors! Sounds like a pretty wild conversion!

I'll bet you're gonna get some "What the f*** is that?!" looks when you next pull up at a gas station! (in a good way)

Depends on whether yours open up-and-outwards or up-and-forwards. The one I saw yesterday was the latter...spent 20mins looking for it on the internet and cannot find it again sorry...there were some good pics of it so if I do find it I'll tell you. Anyway, while I was searching this came up.

Hi Chris,

That would be really appricated because i am very curious about how they modified the car to enable them to fit as this was a big job on mine!

I have seen that site on the net before and kinda giggled when i went through it as they claim to have a kit for every car out there yet the same pic on every single one.. i was guessing its just a universal kit which they are trying to make people think isnt..
Just my opinion on that one hehe..

I am going to search now for that 944T and will post if i have any success..

Thanks again chris!

Found it...knew I would. It actually seems to have started out as a 2.7 and been modified to a 250 turbo.

...yeah...that site was a bit generic wasn't it. I probably wouldn't trust the kit that came from them as being specifically designed for a 944!

In a years time I should have enough to buy a solid and properly modded 944 turbo. Since I'll keep the 24 and s2 100% original I may as well make up for it with the turbo and I was thinking of adding a 968 ass, mirrors and handles and getting a 968 spoiler for the rear glass, front splitter. I had never thought of those doors but I think they look cool on a car that obviously isn't meant to be original. I'm interested in what you've done!
Glad it helped.

Looks great mark. I can use a stick welder, but my dad is much better with his mig (or tig or whatever it is...???) so judging on what you've done, it may not be impossible for me...
It must have been a PITA to get the doors to line up?? They look adjustable..?
What are you doing for handles?
I'd thought about an exhaust either side, it would look good on a 968 rear, not so much with a 944 rear.

You know...it may not look totally original when you've finished ( ) but that looks sweet.

Thanks chris
Yeah they are adjustable and i am going to go and spend a few hours soon to get them just right.. i have one slight problem which is that with one shock installed its a bit weak and with both its a bit strong.. how do i find a half way?
To line the doors up was a bit of a pain in the ass but the cool thing is once you bring the door down it shuts itself
As for door handles i have a cool kit which will enable me to open the doors via remote ill get you a pic of the rear bumper with the space for 2 exhausts in a few hours mate.. cant wait to drive this baby

Khal hehe work in progress is an understatement lol but hoping to have her all finished for the summer months

hehe there is still alot of original porsche in the car.. like the urm.. roof?

I definately will need a set of original porsche rims thou cause they would go awesome..

One small problem i have is what style mirrors do you think would suit the car?

Does anyone know of any stylish handles i can mount to the bottom of the door so when you are sitting inside the car you can pull it down to close it?

Thanks again all you guys!
