I went with a friend of mine to the Miramar Speed Circuit last night to race go-karts. Awesome fun. We drove in his Gen 1 Acura Integra. On the way home We pulled up next to a real nice red 931. We couldn't keep up. When he'd hit boost I could hear the turbo spooling up from 3 car lengths back. We stopped next to each other at a few lights. It's real nice to see a local 931 in such good shape. He pulled into a parking lot so we could take a look at the car. Pretty much perfect interior. Perfect paint too (in the dark). I guess the owner is a fairly new member to the board.
You've got a real nice 931!!
I can't wait 'til I get my '80 931 on the road again. _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 N/A USA

Benino, Sorry for the late reply! I have been slammed with work and
responsibilities lately. Anyway, it was a pleasure to meet you and your
crazy driving buddy. It was nice to show my car to someone that really
respects these cars because most of my friends are into 911's so my
car doesn't wow them much right now. I will get the last laugh someday
on most of them. Please bring that 931 of yours to PB when you get it
done. I have full access to a garage in the area so if you need a lift, bring
it to the beach. I have big plans for my 931, this is definately the most
fun car I have ever owned.
About the car, I wasn't in the market for a 924 when my friend told me
to I had to check this car out. So I went to see it and was immediately
blown away by the condition it was in. She let me take it for a drive and
there was no doubt in my mind I was buying that car. It made my
MK II Supra feel like a school bus! The seller was the original owner
and it had 80k original miles. She also provided 19,000 worth of
maintenance records over 24 years. I am very lucky indeed to have this
car. Now that I have driven it for a few months, I have fallen in love with
it and decided it's worthy of a chunk of money. The only problem is I now
have a big pile of parts (and it's growing) but I don't want to stop driving
the car long enough to install them. Well, sorry for the ramble, thanks for
the post, and use that number I gave your buddy anytime.
Regards, a newly converted 924 junkie. |
