will a 80 931 trans assembly fit in a 944 (83,84,85 etc.)

thanks, as the qeustion states, will a 931 tranny from an 80 fit into a 944? I believe yea, but not 100% sure??

It could be made to work, but it's not a bolt-on.

Ahhh. Watching E-Bay are we??

Vaughan's advice is an definite understatement. NOT a bolt on.

If you want to try it, get the torsion bar carrier from them also. And you will need the shift linkage all the way from the trans to the knob.

Oh, and the torque tube also, can't get away without it!
