What is the symbol on the gauge that looks like a wheel? Its not on when i start my car but after letting it run for a few mins it comes on.

sounds like the parking brake ( emergency brake) indicator light. i think your car is way too early for the brake pad warning light.

Water pump? Fan? A cooling issue? I can't bloody remember what that symbol is.

Drivers manual? Hehe I don't think its had a drivers manual for a very long time =O

It's the emergency brake light, indicating the emergency brake is on.

Look under the handle of the E-brake and you'll see a switch. That's what activates the light. It can come undone and short out, making the light come on arbitrarily. At least, that's what I found on my '80.

Ahh yea, theres a little black peice that the brake hits when it goes down to turn off the light that broke off thats prolly what it is, I just wasn't sure if it was something bad
