|
|
HAHA, LOL.
This has got to be the worst thing I have ever created with my hands. Anyway, here is the idea.
I'm going to make a custom bumper. It'll be all shaved, no bolts, brackets, or bumper pads.
The bumper will sit flush with the rear of the car. Not welded in, but not at all sticking out like the original one.
Then, I will cut out the spare wheel well, and put in a crossflow muffler (like a 2 into 1, where the pipe from
the engine goes into one hole, and 2 pipes come out the other two for dual exhaust look).
The exhaust won't come out beneath the bumper, though. It'll come through the bumper.
Here is a pic to help you with the visual part,
I know it looks like hell, but I can do better with metal, I swear! When I
build it, maybe I'll make a mold of it, and instead make it out of
fiberglass. Would you guys be interested in something like that?
It probably wouldn't have any exhaust cut outs, sine most people run
stock exhaust. But what do you guys think about this? |

I'd like it. I'd keep my spare wheel well though, and no exhaust cut-outs for me. Unless a dual exhaust is functional it just seems too ricer, and there is no way a 4 banger needs a dual exhaust. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

| Ya, I was going to keep the original, but I love the way the Carrera GT looks with the exhaust coming through the bumper. |

the ass of the 924 is simply too high to make the exhaust go trough the bumper.....ofcourse unles you make a hudge bumper that will look like crap.
keep the exhaust in the original position...its better
look at this mess:

those North American bumpers are unfortunate, they always remind me of old National Geographic photos of the African tribe(s) where they put discs in their lower lips.
The Euro bumpers are slightly better but still not great.
There's lots of room for improvement but to me the CGT/944 just looks overweight. _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

It might be cool to have a centered double tip in the bumper, somewhat like the boxster exhaust. Might look kind of funny... just another idea.
