|
|
I got a 944 spoiler, and it seems to be shrunk. The edges have to be pulled, strecthed, and held down. I think it is taking too much effort to make it fit. Are they all like that, or is mine wrapped and shrunken from 20 years of UV rays?
How were the holes put in the factory rear glass? Were they drilled, or molded in? I already drilled my glass, but in the future I think it would be easier to locate a 944 hatch. _________________ Shut up fool, those are mine. |

I am pretty sure that they were screwed onto the glass. It might be a better idea just to get a 944 hatch from someone.

Factory installed spoilers were attached to the metal frame, not through the glass.
Yeah the usual route is to replace the whole hatch. From what I've heard (read) here over the years, it's tough to install a spoiler on a hatch that wasn't originally designed to have the spoiler. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

It's tough but doable, I've done it two times.
One has to remove the aluminium trim around the hatch and then the exact places where to drill can be seen. _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Yeah. I've got a 924 hatch on my 944 right now. No spoiler. I like it - it cleans up the back of the car. Wife hates it... _________________ '88 944 Auto - may or may not resurrect |
