I finally repaired my faulty clamps back to OEM for the entire exhaust system. I am slowly but surely eliminating noise.
What seems to stand out now is an isolated vibration. Before I would feel an rpm vibration in the shifter start from the header and with increasing speed travel all the way back along the exhaust.
Now it is isolated at about 3800 rpm.I can rise above and below it. It happens in all gears at the same spot but is strongest in forth. It shifts normally but the vibration seems more intense.
Any ideas.
I can't see the exhaust giving so much vibration to the shifter.
A couple notes , I have never yet have done any work on the rear bearings or greased the axle shafts.
This past year my clutch was replaced. They dropped the trans to do it.
And I am hearing a squeek from somewhere.
(the battery ran dead last night from a bypassed bad fan switch so I have not isolated the noise or vibration yet .

how are your motor mounts, especially the right side mount (the one with the spring)...

I thought about that. Can I replace it without pulling the motor.
How do I test it?

Both can be replaced in an NA woithout pulling the motor.
The exhaust side is more difficult.
