Another newbie to the board, I'm looking to buy a Porsche 924. What sort of common issues should I be looking out for when going to see potential purchases - does this differ from model to model within the 924 range?

Whilst I've never owned my own car before (used the parents one instead), I am happy to follow instructions to fix small issues, but obviously want to avoid any major and costly issues. My Dad used to own a Porsche 924 and works in the motor trade, so no doubt I can call on his help if needed, although he does not live nearby.

I'm based in Birmingham, UK, by the way.
