Tiny,
Don't want to put a damper on this, but having fixed a few 928's in the past I'd run away from an early non running one. Good, sorted examples are really nice ( if you realy want one I'd go for an S2 or early S4 with lots of MOT and the chance for a long test drive first) but any problems can be really expensive to fix. You have to question why the car is not running, if it "just" needs the manifold putting on as the advert says then why has the owner not done this as it is a quick job and would make the car worth a lot more as a runner. I guess that there could be some major problems that he doesn't want to disclose. However if you do buy one let us all know how you get on.
Cheers, Bruce. _________________ 1976 924 LHD, full cage, semi tube chassis, 951 brakes, lightweight 951 body panels.

PM replied to,
I honestly wouldnt be too worried about it though, what he has done here is common for 928 owners to do, and fixing them really isnt as expensive as alot of people think.
you just have to be willing to wait for parts sometimes. _________________ 3 928s, |

The side moulding isn't original for that year. Accident repair? Also the rear spoiler is for a much later 928 yet there is no front spoiler. The engines are sturdy but have the same problems as the 924's CIS if it is allowed to sit too long and lacquer. On the plus side, the earlier 928's don't have the thrust bearing failure, 2 and 6 rod bearing starvation failures and are non-interference engines (if not modified).
