Nearly all pre-'86 Australian cars were supposed to use leaded fuel. The 924 certainly was.
However, I run my '81 924 Turbo on unleaded and haven't had a problem. I've read that they're fine to on unleaded. But it wouldn't hurt to run the lead additive if you wanted to.
Here is a link to some info from the RACQ.
EDIT: Ah, I knew I'd seen this question somewhere before... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

You might want to retard the ignition timing a few degrees if you run on 95 RON. There's some cryptic hint to that effect in the Owners Manual, but it's not at all specfic. I've set mine to 6° BTDC. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

we actualy have a fuel that is called "Carrera 100" and guess what..its high quality 100 octane fuel. i always use 98 oct because thats what i set my timing for. You always set your timing for a certain fuel, put another fuel instead and engine will not have the same performance. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits
