Most people really rag on MX-5's, but they are suposed to be like the top rated sports car to buy. I personally think they are cool, but I doubt I would ever buy one.

In 1990 a friend of me buyed a brand new MX5 and he was really proud of that car.Once he parked beside me in my allready 14 years old NA924 and said, Nobbi you have no chance with THAT (pointing on the 924) against my mazda.......
Well, we set up the circuit and distance and off we go.I took the lead and he was never seen again since...Thanks to more cc and less gears.
still lol, Nobbi  |

I can assure you that wouldn't happen with this one
In anything but a highway sprint to top speed, I'd rate the MazdaSpeed a good chance of outrunning a 931... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Where to begin,hmmm.
Well the MSM has;
178 hp and 166 lb-ft of tq. A weight of 2440 lbs. LSD of course. An incredibly stiff chassis. A 6 spd. transmission. Variable power assisted steering so once you're at speed it reverts back to plain 'ol rack and pinion. Love that,very handy in parking lots. It pulls .90 g's on the skidpad in it's stock configuration. A top speed of 135 mph. Independant double wishbone suspension front and rear. Sweet. Of course it comes from the factory with Bilsteins,sway bars and even a nice strut tower brace. Hmmmm what else.....Oh yeah now I remember,this :

How lovely it will be putting 270hp to the wheels for less than $4000 and a weekends labour.
And it even has a warranty,yay !! _________________ 1979 Euro 931, Olive
