So I own a 924s.... lucky me.. it is an automatic, and gets horrible gas mileage, will any tranny that is a 4 or even hopefully a 5 speed take the power of the 2.5l engine? and the major thing: not fall apart! and have a little bit better gas mileage? I'm not against putting a clutch in it... but I'd rather just put another automatic in it so I do not have to do too much metal work.

Thanks for your time guys

Merry Christmas!

Yep any 931, 944, 968 Audi 5 Speed tranny will bolt in (you will need everything from the flywheel back (including the flywheel)). No issues with the power. Your best option is to get all of this from a 924S or a 944.

You do need to be worried about gear ratios....

Is your current automatic tranny bad?

You shouldn't suffer that much on gas mileage, even with an auto - I'd think perhaps there are other tune-up related things you need to fix. Have you replaced your O2 sensor, wires, plugs, cap and rotor?

my current tranny isnt bad, its just OK, its half way to hell but still standing strong hows that?

I was just wondering if there was another automatic transmission that would bolt up...

its about a 500 rpm diffrence @ 70 from 3rd gear in an auto and 5th in a manual.... anyways, thanks for the time guys!
