The heater fan on my 79 does not hardly move enough air to tell that it is actually "on" when driving the car. The fan does blow...and when I move the lever from low to high....I can tell that the fan speed increases. But just in gereral....it runs way too slowly. Anybody had similar problem and what solved it? Wanted to get a head start before I tore things apart. Thanks guys!

The bearings on the fan are probably dried out and wearing away.
Nearly time for a new one I'd say.

What should the voltage levels be at the fan motor for the various fan blower lever settings?

or the vent channels various connections from the heater to the outlet
become seperated and the air ends up not reaching the vents

.. the heater motors have brushes right. .. maybe there worn out.
or need adjusting .. I had to solder a wire back on there..
once and took a look around though it was a while ago.
