Yes.
Now stick it in the freezer, you should no longer be able to see through it.
Finally, check resistance with an ohmmeter. _________________ Vaughan Scott

An auxiliary air valve provides extra air when the engine is cold. That means it will be open to it's maximum when it's in the freezer. Give it 12 volts for a while and it should slowly close up so you can't see through it. _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 N/A USA

| You can adjust these too. With the engine cold, start it and if you're not happy with the fast idle speed, loosen the 7mm nut and move the stud to get the rpm you want. Do it quickly before it warms up and starts slowing the rpm. |

I looked on some previous posts and it seems normal enough when it comes to freezing it (it opens so i can see through about half of the hole). Now i am thinking it might have a problem closing. Its been in the house at room temperature and it doesnt seem to close much. It still stays about a half to a third open, i was under the impression i should just be able to see through a couple of millimenters at this point.
Any ideas what problems it would cause but not closing |

Think about it, if it closed completely at room temp, would your idle speed be normal when you start the car for the first time on a 70 degree day? _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"
