Quote:
924 is original 937 Carrera GT 1980 model, one of only 400 produced worldwide, approx 50 RHD, only 15 sold new in Australia, was rebodied at 12 months old with Australian 924 Turbo body due to crash, but all original running gear retained, motor is 210bhp intercooled 4 cylinder 2 litre turbo, has Fuchs 911 Turbo 7 x 16 and 8 x 16 forged wheels, 911 turbo velour front seats, dog leg 5 speed transaxle, and more. Would consider selling for $26,000. Other Porsche in photo is 1975 911S fitted with fibreglass turbo body and Carrera 2 update front and rear, RS 3.8 turbo wing, 2.7 motor, sportomatic 4 speed, 4 wheel disc brakes, MOMO wheel, 8 x 16 and 9 x 16 RIAL Lace alloys, is also for sale $27,500 ono.

Would this car be classed as a 937 if it has been rebodied ??

not realy...did they put the VIN fromt he CGT on to the turbo chasis ? event then...its just a replica...exactly like mine...all CGT specs but the VIN is 924 NA. if you dont care for the VIN...then yea...its a CGT...but if you are a purrist...then its not.

A 'real' CGT should be worth about A$26k, I'd say that car is worth a bit more than a top end 924 Turbo.

I think he got a lot less than that when he sold it.
