I've read somewhere here that the 944 turbo/924 turbo catback section is basically the same part but never saw pics of it, so here they are. This was a bolt on swap from a 1988 951 to my 82 931. Same front 4 bolt square flange, same front hanger mounting, same pipe shape and diameter. The only difference I see is that the 944 turbo uses a different hanger arrangement at the muffler, but that has no effect on the install since we just use a big ol' bandclamp that goes around the muffler.
So if you need a muffler, look for a take off from a 951, alot of those guys upgrade to bigger/better catbacks.
Thanks to Kevin (epic2112) over at the pelican forums for the catback.
I also think I picked up 1 psi on the boost gauge as well, probably since the hacked up muffler arrangement was necking down to 1.75inches.

Also, notice that the 951 unit has a very nice reinforcing plate at the main pipe inlet to the muffler. This will make the unit last a lot longer, as the early 931 units didn't have this and will often break at the muffler inlet. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

That rear rubber hangar doesn't look too good to me. . . _________________ Toofah King Bad
