| Ok so i bought my 924s and it needed a clutch... The car ran before i put the clutch in it. Once i put the clutch in the car wouldnt start. I was haveing a fuel problem so i replaced all the fuel lines, pump and filter. The fuel is running through the fuel rail and has pressure. The fuel injectors are not firing the fuel through to the engine. I can manually put fuel into the system and the car will run... Why arent my fuel injectors working. Any thoughts? |

Are all your flywheel sensors attached and not damaged? As I recall, one of them controls the fuel injection. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

Please people. Put your car in the signature. I guess 924's' is a 924S.
If so, then actually both flywheel sensors must be working. The sensors are identical. Front sensor is 'TDC' and the back sensor is rpm to the computer. If the computer doesn't see both sensors signal then it won't fire the ignition and it won't fire the injectors. It also will turn off the fuel pump after a few seconds in the start mode.
The sensors are sensitive to spacing from the flywheel. Spec is .8mm. Setting procedure is in the manual. The manual calls for a scope to check sensor output but a modern high impedance VOM will do also. Check the sensor signal at the appropriate pin on the computer connector. You will get about 2 to 2.5 volts on the rear (rpm - speed) sensor and about .5 to .8 volts on the front (reference - TDC) sensor. This is because even a good VOM on AC range needs to see a couple of sine forms and the front sensor only gets a 'hit' once per revolution. _________________ John
