| The one in my 1987 924S is not functioning (most likey from sitting in varnish gas for 10 years)...anyway, is the fuel sending unit from a 944 interchangeable ? |

| You might try removing it, and gently shaking it to see if the float is moving. If the float is free, but you dont have a signal you can take the unit apart by unscrewing the very bottom (plastic cap on bottom of aluminum tube). The thing is held together by a rod that is threaded on the very bottom. The float rides up and down the rod and has contacts that touch very thin wires. (Hair thin wires!) If these are broken (likely) you will need another unit. |
