Never have liked the 1 notch adjusting screw that came on my 82NA.
Seemed that you could never get a good adjustm, ent hot or cold
Been thinking about replacing with the 4 notch
Anyone done this and what is your opinion???????
Anyone have a used set to sell???? Will need eight |

If you are even close to the correct lash with a 1 notch wedge, a 4 notch wedge is NOT what you need. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

The number of notches refers to markings on the adjuster wedge. The more notches, the thicker the wedge, the more 'wear' it takes out.
It is NOT the number of 'clicks' you get per rotation; that is always one!
Most tappets need somewhere in the range of 2 -3 notch adjusters by this time. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

Does that mean a new cam & followers (assuming the base circle portion of the grind is factory correct) should take "one-notchers?" _________________ Toofah King Bad

Can't say for sure, Rasta.
There is also a 'zero-notcher' size. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)
