Got the engine out last week and going to the rebuilder on Saturday.

While its out......am considering replacing both motor mounts.

ASSUME both have been in since 1982.......both look OK

What's the common consensus on when to replace?

Any one have a source?

I just did it in my 78, it was a complete no brainer. My car had less than 120k on it from San Diego, while there was some life left in the spring loaded side, the other one was completely shot. Find some tranny mounts if you can as well, one of mine was broken. These mounts made it feel like a new car, of course, there are many other things left to do but these mounts are HUGE to do, I don't know that there is any single more important fix outta the 20 plus things I've done in th elast 7 months on mine. This guy Rich will help you find these incredibly hard to find parts. www.highperformancehouse.com, tell him I sent you
