Some say that the RX7 was styled off the Lotus Elan. Maybe. I think its introduction in 78 plus the eerie resemblance to the 924 speaks otherwise. Maybe historians should give the 924 some credit for inspiration.

Burger king specializes in dirty working conditions. Rural king specializes in bestiality. Easy to confuse.

Look no further than Maxda print ads from the late 70s directly comparing the two, with line drawings of each in the background.

It's a 924 for sure.

A friend of mine has left his early rx-7 in our driveway behind my 924 for a few days, facing the street. I didn't know it was coming so you can imagine my confusion arriving home at dusk and finding what, at first glance, looked like another 924 (I already have one in each carport). I hadn't realised just how similar they look from the front until then.
