Right now the Porsche is in the body shop.

Since the rear is getting some body work done, should I put the rear GT flares on there or just leave it alone?

What increase in size tires could I go with then?

Other thoughts...

Do you have a 944 front end? If not, I don't think the flares would look all that great.

So, you're getting it painted? Why not get it all done at once?

I had to get the fender lips folded over, and now the car needs paint in the rear because of that.

So if it needs paint, now would be the time to add those flares.

Don't you all think?

No, no flares in the front right now.

I have to agree..if your going wide in the back it will look silly with out 944 fenders.

Why add the flares?? Are you still having clearance issues?

I'm guessing traction issues.

The beast will look mean enough with what you've got.

I can understand if by 'flares' the other guys here mean the flared rear quarter sections that look really boxy. They wouldn't look so hot.

But if you did your own, a mild rounded flare, was it the 924D(?) it might look kind of cool.

I agree with the poster in the past who said the 944 flares are boring.

My vote is for cgt flares on the back and slap on some 944 front fenders.

If I get the CGT flares, I won't do the front flares until this winter....

Would it look ok until then?

I have to make a decision by tomorrow.

And it would have to allow for much wider rear tires.....

I know there is a member that has just rear cgt flares and stock front, it doesn't look terrible, but it definitely looks more natural with the matching front fenders.

You can probably run a 265 or 275? maybe more? tire in the rear, should be able to get a 10" tire back there under the flares.

Decided to just leave it alone this year. It would only save me $300 to do it right now. I just want to get in the car and enjoy it.

I can relate to that! Of course, one look at my car, that becomes pretty obvious!

That's why I've had a complete GTR bodykit in storage for 6 years...
