Was prepping my 78 924 for the road this evening, weather finally broke here in sunny Syracuse, NY, and was running it through a series of checks and discovered my hazards were not working. So I checked the bulbs first and found nothing. I then checked the fuses and the number 7 was blown, so I popped in a new one and problem solved or so I thought! Pulled it into the garage and started checking some other things. As I finished, I checked the headlights, turn signals and four ways one last time.
Well, the hazards stopped working again and the fuse was blown, so I tried to put another fuse in and this time it blew immediately and I burned the shit out of my finger! Twenty years of wrenching on F-16's, I should have known better than to do that!
Anyway, where is the best place to start, would it be a waste of time to r&r the relay or should i just start chasing wires and grounds. I really, really hate electrical problems!!!!!!!

i blew that fuse when i was workin on my center console, I think it popped when the cigarette lighter power wire grounded out on the heater controls. Might be worth checking, have you taken that apart lately?, maybe it isnt connected. Just a thought, who knows if it will fix any thing.
