Hi guys'

I noticed that when I take my car out on a long run and get the engine really hot! it occasionally starts to run lumpy at idle as if it is miss firing, this sometimes also occurs when accelerating in third around 3500-rpm

I've replaced spark plugs, coil, air filter(upgrade) coolant and recently give it an oil change with semi synthetic 10w40

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Had the car long? A good first step when acquainting yourself with one of these cars is to refresh ALL rubber in the intake tract. The CIS system is quite sensitive to vacuum leaks.

Had the car about 3 months now, I took the intake system apart about 2 months ago and noticed that one of the pipes had been over tightened and was possibly leaking, i straightened it out as much as i could and hoped this would solve the problem but possibly not.

so I guess the mixture could alter due to vacuum leaks when the car gets hot and the plastic piping expands???
