I wasgetting the urge to work on my car and was digging thru some parts and found a fuel distributor that came with the car. I thought I would replace the distributor and see if this helped the car run any better. I noticed on the second dist. a plug that I had not noticed before. Low and behold the one on the car does not have this plug. could this be a problem why the car will idle but when I give it gas it wants to dye? I drove the car home with this plug missing but it would not rev past 3000. Any help with this is much appreciated. I want to get this car back on the road. Thanks
I cannot try it yet because the battery is dead and the charger is not at the house. _________________ EVERY ROAD IS MY RACETRACK!

No, that plug should be in place, but it won't fix your 3k rpm problem. On a 931, going with that hole unplugged would let some un-metered air in, but the 924NA direction of airflow through the air meterer is in the opposite direction, so what you'd end up with is a small percentage of your intake air being unfiltered.
Look to vacuum leaks, vacuum line routing, ignition timing, and valve timing for the source of the 3k problem. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."
