Sorry, Guys, but Rick (968rz) talked me into buying a 968.

As I only have a limited amount of space on my driveway (to say nothing of time and financial resources), I'm afraid in the 924 has to go...

It's been a great five years, made all the more enjoyable by the members of this board. Thanks, Guys!

Anyway, I'll probably pop by from time to time just to see what's going on, but for now it's goodbye and thanks for making a good time better.

We demand pics of the 968 and a report on how it drives!

Is the IoW big enough to open it up properly?!?

Oh right, make me the bad guy. I never said sell the 924, you should keep them both; happiness is better than money any day.

You'll want to keep both, trust me. I was supposed to sell the 924 when I got the 951. That hasn't happened (yet).

Actually, it's already too late.

I've just this moment sold the 924 to a work colleague. He only lives about half a mile away, so I'll still see the old girl around.

Drives nice, slight wheel wobble above 80

Bottom-end grunt isn't quite as good as I was expecting, but she really comes alive above 4k rpm

Front suspension is rock hard! You feel every slight bump or crack in the road surface. Steering could be a bit 'quicker', but it's OK

Seriously, that is what put me off buying one for so long (that and the money!), but I got a clear run on the island's only 3/4 mile 'motorway' and it put a smile on face!

So much for the good stuff, now for the bad: The alternator died on the drive home, so she's grounded at least until next weekend!

Could just be the voltage regulator on the back of the alternator, I know they give out more often than the actual alternator on the 944. I replaced mine on the 951 for something like $16.

Very nice 968, I like it a lot!
