So as some of you are aware i am having starting problems for my 87 924s. Heres tthe things i have tryed to do to make it start.
1) New coil
2) new spark plug wires.
3) Took off distrubter cap and wiped it out.
4) jumped car
5) New DME reley
My last thing am goin to try is to replace my igintion switch..but i have no idea how to do that our where its even located... I have all the plastic peices removed around my igintion but dont no how to find the peice or let alone get to it. Does anyone know how to located this peice and if so how do you take it off and replace it? Or even any other ideas on why my car wont start??? ANYONE???!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ 1987 924s . its behind the key bit (lock cylinder), it slides on to a "barb" coming out the back of the lock cylinder. I think that this is the piece that you mean. _________________ 1977 924 2.0 Auto |

thanks chrenan, its only a little more descriptive than my effort, I am going to go to bed now feeling totally impotent.
I did think after I wrote that maybe I should have been a little more descriptive but its a little complicated and 1.30am here so I figured I would answer any unanswered questions in the morning.
You guys are just so great that sometimes I dont know why I bother trying. (and thats not having a go at you it the god honest truth) _________________ 1977 924 2.0 Auto |

Don't be too hard on yourself, I still had that job in my head as I did it early in the summer on my 924 when I had a strange dying while running / no start experience. Hasn't returned since. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |
