There's a bunch of threads over on Rennlist of guys who have converted, you should try doing some searching over there.
The short story...you can't just upgrade the pump and injectors. You have to have a programmable ECU that can be configured to accommodate proper air-fuel ratio required with E85. But, to your original question, you need to plan on about 30% delivery capacity in terms of the pump and injectors.
The other big concern is the plastic fuel tank and any of the rubber seals and plastic-based fuel lines. They should all be replaced with teflon coated stainless and the seals with viton or something like that (can't remember the exact name at the moment). Again, searching on rennlist will yield good results. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

His tank, if stock, is steel. _________________ Toofah King Bad

Fuel tanks still needs to be addressed. Ethanol is hydroscopic, which means it attracts water. Corrosive (even slightly like Ethanol) + water + steel = rust = NOT GOOD. Fuel tanks need to be coated to handle Ethanol. Anything post-1995 should be OK, but that is out of range of the 924/924S/944 line...haven't figured out if a 968 fuel tank would work or not, but given the likely price, you'd almost be better off going with an aftermarket fuel cell. I've only found one on the market that is suitable, and it is from Fuel Safe. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
