I tried to find the part number for Bosch fuel injectors for my 79 Turbo.
The guy on the phone tells me they are all the same.
He gave me 0437502017.
Is this correct?
I could not access the Bosch site in Europe.

By the way some of your tuner/suppliers want 54 pounds for them.
Bosch US [from Performance Products] cost only ?54.95US if they are the same. PP part number is for US turbos.

Help and thanks

Vince, that number he gave you is for the `79 NA injector. The `79 Turbo injector should be 931 110 225 00

Forgot to say, that part number he gave you is the Bosch part number for the `79 NA injector. The Bosch catalog I looked at did not list the turbo injector. The 931 110 225 00 part number is, of course, the Porsche part number. Don't know how you can cross-reference that to a Bosch part number.

Thank you.

I spoke to the guy at Bosch and asked him three different times during our conversation if the number he gave is for my car. He said that it was. I did not agree therefore asked this question to the 924 site.

As for the prices I think they are excessive in Europe. If anyone wants them from the US I will buy them for you. They are almost twice the price on the other side.

Thanks again

My US Bosch FI parts catalog shows that par # as correct only for the S2 turbo; the S1 US Turbo shows 0 437 502 015 as the correct #. So that application seems quite suspicious.

Sadly, my catalog only shows US applications. So I can't know for sure.

However, I have an email out to a former Fuel guy I work with, who might be able to find out through his former co-workers...

Thanks,

Please remember my car is a 79 Turbo European car.

Pro-9 in England wanted 59 pounds or about 90 US ea
Adamshop in England wanted 40 pounds or about 75 US ea.

Thanks all again.

Vince, these guys think that the number you have is the 931 injector:

http://store.autopartsliquidations.biz/0437502017.html

Autohaus AZ think that number is for a 1981 injector and have a picture of a 1980+ NA injector:

Now I am confused.

Which one is the correct one?
Changing numbers are confusing.

Sure anytime.

Just a joke and an inside joke at that.

Vince, did you get this sorted out?

I ran across the Bosch Australia parts catalogue and they had this to say

Quote:
Porsche Turbo K-Jetronic Fuel Injectors.
K-Jetronic fuel injector part numbers 0 437 502 009, 017 & 057 as
applied to Porsche 911 & 924 Turbo must not be substituted by
other fuel injectors. Whilst technically & physically appearing identical
to earlier 004 & 012 injectors, these injectors have a fine
thread near the gland nut. This thread is designed to secure these
injectors into their unique holders avoiding any possibility of the
fuel injectors becoming dislodged under boost conditions. The use
of other fuel injectors may result in the injector being loosened or
dislodged causing engine performance issues and possible fire.

Which we all knew anyway.

They list the injector for the 924 Turbo as

Injector Valve 0 437 502 017

They say that is for 1980 to 1982 models. There is nothing listed for pre-1980 Turbos.

NO I never did get the right injector number and who has them at a reasonable cost.
A couple of UK companies responded but I think they are using the later ones. I don't want to buy them and then try to return them. I would like to get it right the first time.

If any of you European guys know who has them please help.
The fuel injectors would be for a 79 924 turbo which were only made teh first year for Europe.

Thanks
