I have a redish orange 1977. I've been trying to find a can of duplicolor or something close enough in color for that matter with no luck.... at all.... not even close.
I've been trying to figure out if theres a paint code anywhere on the car or if anyone knows anything about what this color is called or where to find a rattle can of it....

Take your fuel cover plate or side mirror into an auto paint store, they can scan the colour with a colour analyzer and mix you up a spraycan of your colour . Could be guards red perhaps

Have a look in this thread. Reckon it's a fair bet you have "Mars red L31B". I thought there was a more comprehensive list somewhere here but I'm yet to locate it...
