I originally posted this over in the wheel offset calculator thread, but then I realized it was buried down in the links section. I also didn't want to break the rules in Rasta's Ultimate Wheel ThreadŽ. So I'm reposting here

I have a line on a set of wheels for my ultra wide body project. They are 8.5Jx17 ET20 in the front, and 10Jx17 ET20 in the rears. (Note: I am not 100% certain that the offset is 20mm all the way around, the seller only checked one rim, so it's possible the offsets are different between front and back, awaiting confirmation).

For the rest of my setup, I will be running the front A-Arms and rear trailing arms from a 1989 944S2, which according to Kevin Grossman's FAQ came stock with 7Jx16 ET55 in the front and 8Jx16 ET52.3 in the rear.

According to the offset calculator referenced in the above threads, this will yield the following results:
FRONT: 16mm MORE inner clearance + 54mm MORE outer position
REAR: 7mm MORE inner clearance + 57mm MORE outer position

So if I'm understanding this correctly and have entered the numbers right, these wheels should work perfectly, as they will take up the additional 2" under each of the arches provided by the Ultra Wide Body kit.

Can one of you wheel geniuses sanity check this????

You could run this past Dave over at Wheel Enhancement. He is a pretty friendly and helpful guy.
