| A neighbor is trying to get rid of a 924. It shows that it is a 1977 1/2. What is the significance of this year. It has not been run for about 9 years so I don't know what the cost will be to get it running again. The VIN is 9247231426, the engine is XG301242. Any help will be great. Thanks. |

Significance I think is something to do with the Trans installed and in US cars and possibly ROW cars also I think it also has something to do with the HP numbers. _________________ 1977 924 2.0 Auto |

Indeed, the early cars made 96bhp but Porsche liberated a bit more power, 110bhp, half way through the 1977 model year after complaints of poor performance. _________________ Pete
