hi,when i am going along occasionally my battery light comes on, my volt meter stops working so does my rev counter then it all flicks back to normal.does anyone know of this problem it doesnt seem to affect much else.thanks

Check and double check and triple check the main electrical leads connecting to your battery. Make sure that the ring terminals at the battery aren't worn, or loose, or that the wires haven't started to break or fray.

yeah that did cross my mind so i already did it....doesnt seem to of helped although i do have a battery isolator on the dash so i will see if i can get that out and check the connections there.

Troubleshooting 101 : eliminate all non-OEM additions as variables.

My wire from the starter to the alternator recently burnt out and gave me similar symptoms before it melted.

yeah thats my concern i am thinkin thats the problem, and what killed my last alternator.seems difficult to route it away from the hotstuff.
