Don't believe the 924 did, but the 944 sure did, even the early models.

Actually there was cruise control available for 2.0liter models, though aftermarket, not OEM.

Someone here on this board offered two sets of these for sale about a year ago or so.

I can take a look in the garage. I snatched a complete kit from our old volvo 740 before it was scrapped. But i dont know if its still there. It was pretty primitive with a servo on the throttle cable and a rpm sensor glued on the prop shaft. I guess they are hard to come by theese days

there is also an other version with a stepper motor but is more expensive

the kit you see costs around 100-150 euros from memory, i saw it on ebay some months ago

you can use the vacuum types w-out problem, you need to find a "T" non return valve, older peugeot diesel and alfa romeo jtd have this on theyr brake booster.. the kit will use the vacuum reserve in your brake b.

MOrghen if i had a unit on my 924 ide gladly donate it to you!

Yeah i agree. An auto box is bad enough... couple it with cruise control and i'd probably end up in a ditch!

Scorp, thats so sweet of you ahahahah

its deff more easy to fall asleep with this thing...but you can always turn it off when you know you're a bit tired....i love to drive the 924 on continent tours...this year would be my third tour with the 924...and the fact that it has no power steering and no AC does not bother me on tours...its just in cities that you need them...but every time i drive more than 600Km my leg gets a bit tired from sitting in the same position for hours...this thing would be a very cool addition to the 924 for highway driving.

i've found the universal version for this thing:

http://cgi.ebay.at/Waeco-MS-50-MagicSpeed-Tempomat-Geschwindigkeitsregler_W0QQitemZ350191602848QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutoteile_Zubeh%C3%B6r?hash=item51890bcca0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1229%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

the MS 50 is cheaper and appears to be the same as the one in the link above...just..cheaper.
going to buy one soon...on 18-July i have to depart for the Croatian coast so by then the cruise control should be installed and working
