we have had quite a few people ask this before. Personally I like the decal set and will probably add it to mine as well. BUT that is a minority opinion on this board.... pretty much everybody else hates em. _________________ 1980 924 NA

FYI Cliffjumper was a turbo... 931...
And he didn't have stickers...
Personally I don't mind those ones you linked to.

I know he was a turbo, but he's still a Porsche
I'm also thinking about getting the inner portion of the rims silver.
Also, what do you guys think the best color decal set would be? Black? White? Silver? _________________ 1979 Porsche 924- Snailshell

I have a plain red 924 similar to yours and TBH I like it without the decals. Sorry to be predictable!
IMHO black and white just don't look "right" on a red car, so silver is the only option I would consider. Unless you can find somewhere that will make them with a gradient. _________________ Pete

Just something to keep in mind: he's showing the sample on a car with leopard skin seat covers. |

Those particular decals would look better if the lower rocker (the bumpy part beneath the doors and between the wheels) was painted black. IMO, the black decal with a big red space below looks goofy. But if you had the rockers painted, and the decals applied correctly it could look OK.
Decals are a tough one...sometimes, I feel like 924/944 with decals look like they're trying to hard to prove they're a Porsche It has to be executed tastefully. If that's the only decal you put on, it would probably be OK. But if you put one on the back, and one on the windscreen, and racing stripes on the hood, and all that, it just looks overdone. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
