what is the correct way to remove the electric window motor, mine allows the windows down but not up, (one gets back up halfway slow the other not at all. need any links or pics that i can follow for removing cleaning and troubleshooting.

its is defo the motors or the regulators, the switches both work tried in checked in mates 944.

I only removed the electrical part of the motors when I did mine (cleaned-relubed). Just had to remove the wiring (2 spade terminals as I recall (lable them for correct reattachment later)), and 2 screws that hold the motor together.. Then off came the elecrtical casing including carbon brushes and armature. -Very easy. Reassambly was trickier - trick was to hold the window up about halfway with one hand and wiggle the motor-armature assembly back into place with the other. (The armature has a corkscrew gear on it that has to engage with the regulator.)

Switches can work, and still be a problem due to resistance. I found my drivers side window working much faster with a switch replacement (new switch).
