I am collecting parts for my Carrera GT conversion. I have got the front and rear fenders, hood scoop and the front bumper.
Is the rear bumper also different ? _________________ 937 trackday car

A GT bodykit makes my 931 only heavier (= slower) _________________ 937 trackday car

I think you're right, check out the black car on page two of this post:
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=30210
And compare it to the Euro car I just bought in Arizona:
The GT bumper looks as big as the American bumper minus the goofy rubber bumperettes. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

but that 31 makes it faster
If you're progressing I'd like to come take a look if it's okay with you... the country isn't that big and the lpg is cheap.

Cripes, Dave, how many 931s are you going to buy? I'm still just edging closer to getting the title for my car and you've got, what, 5 924s there total? |

The bumper is different. It is like a combination of the US and Euro bumpers. The Euro looks the most like it but the US bumper sticks out about as far as the GT.
The US bumper uses rubber extensions to connect to the body though so unless you make your owm, the Euro bumper is probably the closest. |

I have a 924 US bumper but it is to heavy.
I think the 937 bumper is bigger then the 924 because te rear spoiler is much larger. Otherwise the spoiler would stick out to much.
But the 937 rear spoiler is the same as the 944 one, so I asumed this would be the closest. The 944 looks large the the 924 one.
Will a 944 (EU) bumper fit and is it larger then a 924 ?
some PET facts:
924/931 EU bumper: 477 807 113
937 bumper: 937 505 017 00
944 EU bumper: 931 505 387 00
951/ 944 S2 EU bumper: 951 505 387 01 _________________ 937 trackday car

All bumpers for the US were alum. Euro bumpers are fiberglass.
30 pounds vs 11 for the Euro.
Euro mounts 8 oz vs US 3 lbs.
By switching you can save about 40 lbs.
If you have a US bumper and want to have the close look of the Euro you can cut the bumper shocks and collapse them and weld shut. Pulls in the bumper in about 2 inchs. _________________ "Never let them see you sweat"
