I recently purchased a '79 924, and after working on the electrics for a week, I got most of the wiring sorted out. The thing is, the passenger window will only go down. If I reverse the leads to the motor, it will go up. I've tried 3 sets of switches, including two known working ones (I eventually tested out all 7 of the switches on the drivers' side window). I looked at wiring diagrams, but no luck there. Anyone see something like this happen before?

Have you inspected the wiring harness connectors on BOTH sides? They sit behind the kick panels, and you can access them by removing the carpet there and fishing them through a hole in the sheet metal that is about 3" in diameter. It sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere on the passenger-side up circuit, and these would be the next places to check. The pins could be loose, corroded, or even the wires could be broken going to the pins. It's not uncommon to see lots of moisture get into those areas and cause problems with corrosion.

Yep. That was it. One of the wires was actually broken at the gaiter. I'm gonna replace the line tomorrow and see what happens. (now I have another dozen questions...)
Thanks!
