Whenever im in 3rd, i can hear a rattling noise from the back and it sounds like its coming from the transmission... it only does it in that gear. I know its the transmission because when im in 3rd and shake the stick shift a bit the noise would come and go. Any one know what that is? Im going to change the transmission fluid asap hoping that might solve it... i just hope its nothing major.

Dont know hopefully a change of oil will remedy the noise though... it might.

It could be your shifting linkage(s) by the transmission. Maybe the transmission makes a vibration only in 3rd gear?
