|
|
I am trying to remove the rear trailing arm and have one stubborn bolt. It is one of the three that hold it to the spring plate. The two that are vertical came off just fine, but the third nut came off, but the bolt seems to be a larger (larger than 3/4 inch) bolt. Anyone know of which size that one would be? This is the last bolt that I need to get off, then I can remove it.
Thanks,
Rob |

That's the eccentric for the camber adjustment. If you have the outer nut off, it's probably under some load and must be rotated to free it up. It's a through-hole, not threaded into anything, but yeah, stuck due to the loads perhaps. Size is 27mm. _________________ Vaughan Scott

I'll get a socket and see how it goes. Thanks Vaughan. _________________ Rob

I used a bottle jack to "adjust" the plates to take the load off, worked like a charm... _________________ Eric

The 27mm (or actually I used a 1-1/16 inch) wrench worked. I have the trailing arm off, now just need to get the new one put on (with new wheel bearings!) hopefully tonight, then torque everything this week. I'll need an alignment eventually, but don't need the car on the road until after the winter. _________________ Rob
