Well I have a 924s with the complete CGT kit, wheels and all. Well the car needs a rebuild and I am more then capable of said task but I would rather have a standard 931 or 924s.
The car complete would have a 30k 944 engine and driveline. I would paint it either the Red that it is now or Black. I was also going to use the Porsche script sport seats and interior from the 944 as well. I was just curious if this would be worth my time and money so I can build what I really want. If not I think I will part out the CGT and the 944 and build my old 931.
So I guess opinions and what you guys think a freshly restored CGT replica would be worth.
Thanks in advance! _________________ So many cars so little time. |

Unfortunately, not as much as you'll put into it to make it saleable. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

+1 to what Dan said. Unfortunately the problem with the 924/944 is that you can put THOUSANDS INTO them and get hardly anything OUT of them. _________________ - 1977 Porsche 924 2.0 N/A (Trackday Project)

I guess in body alone then. Well do you guys know of anyone that might be interested in some CGT parts. Most are from IFC, the rest are Porsche. Im not sure what they are worth, so I figured I will ask.
I have the Hood, fenders, scoop, bumper, rocker covers, 931 header, all in fiberglass. Oh and the CGTS fixed lights and the 16x7 and 8 wheels. _________________ So many cars so little time. |

If you want to sell the parts, post over on the "for sale" section along with some nice pics. Most folks would get pretty excited about someone parting out CGT parts, if in good condition and the price is right.
However, I would encourage you to consider making the car drivable -- you gave up too easily... |

Oh Im far from giving up. I would just rather have a slammed 931 to play with. I have a lot of parts to buil one kick ass car, I just do not want to put it into something I'm not that interested in.
I'm very involved with the XR4TI crowed and make a lot of parts for them. So my time could be better spent elsewhere. I love my 931 and do not see myself giving up on these cars anytime soon. _________________ So many cars so little time. |

I think its a good choice to concentrate on the stock bodied 931... I know if I had to do it all over again I'd leave my 931 unaltered bodywise.
CGT bodied cars do tend to fetch more on the used market but as others have said it won't be worth the time and effort. _________________ 1981 931 CGT replica, OEM CGT intercooler, .8 BAR WG spring, GTS Headlights, Innovative Wide band A/F, A/C delete, 16" Fuchs, Weltmeister 200lb lowering springs, Bilstein HDs front, Koni Sport rears. |

I'd sell the car as is, with minor details done, like make sure it runs! If parting, stuff isn't worth all that much. I bought a '77 Martini/Rossi car with the red interior that is in excellent shape. The car has the AIR GTS kit on it, and with a little touch-up on both, their going into a CGT 931 car I am building. Paid 800 bucks for the car! _________________ '83 944 Track car.
