Functionally speaking, what is the difference between these two different styles of plumbing a dual port / tee style manual boost controller (MBC)?

well the inline MBC that you have on the left uses a spring and ball system to keep the port open and then shut it at your dialed boost pressure.

The T boost controller on the right does not use a sprin or ball.
The screw has a cone shaped end that closes on a cone shaped body.
So the port is always open but because of the cone design and threaded advance-retract system the pressure can be regulated...how? i'm not 100% sure but i think that the thread and cone provide a VERY fine adjustment of the area between the body and the screw so more or less air can move trough.

in any case..it is known that the T style controller is way better for the system as it is not brutal ON OFF but has a fuzzy output signal.

morghen, you mentioned in the thread that yours was a Forge Motorsport product. Is this the one?

I don't see anything on their site that references the V- arrangement you've discussed here and in your other thread...

Looking at the diagrams, it is possible they are not necessary intended to be different. The second drawing could be intended as Morghen described, but I usually see discussion comparing the MBC diagram juxtaposed with a controller inline for a single port waste gate. The second drawing may just be a sloppy way of describing the first configuration when comparing it to a single port.
