Anyone here have any experience as a trade show decorator.
Im just finishing setting up a big one at the convention center.
Its super computing tradeshow with displays from alot of us universities
and other parts of the world..theres some really cool stuff here. I took a few vids ill post on you tube. I worked 57 hrs this last week including this saterday. Im working for Freeman out of so cal one of the biggest companies in the usa. Pretty good money too like 25 bucks an hour.

I've worked lots of trade shows but on the other side. I'm one of the poor exhibitors that has to set up the booth. I've worked with Freeman many many times.

I've been helping with my wife's company when they go to trade shows. Biggest one we go to is in Vegas every year for "Fairs and Conventions". We get to meet all kinds of singers/performers there. My favs have been Pen & Teller, Lance Burton (Pen and Lance gave me and my wife free tickets to their shows), and also Blue Man Group of which we are sure we met a member of the group, but he would neither confirm or deny that he was or wasn't a member... but he gave us tickets and let us come back stage to meet everyone after the event after costumes were removed. I said "Hey, you got a little blue still on there behind your ear!" and he jumped and said "Where!?!?!" LOL!

I have with over 40 years worth. I had a career in the toy business and worked shows for two weeks a year during Feb. Some shows were in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, NY and Texas.
Hong Kong in Jan was the best.

Yea well this is a major show i even worked today sunday and all of last week and get to work monday too.. http://blog.oregonlive.com/siliconforest/2009/11/supercomputers_storm_into_port.html. Its a super computer show and there is so much cool stuff there today i spent alot of the day hanging lights and mounting monitors and positioning computer cabs, besides fixing carpet and building
stuff.

Have a new show to do.. the international portland auto show.
The Portland International Auto Show is the biggest show of its kind in the Northwest! Including aftermarket accessories, exotic cars and the latest examples of fuel efficient technologies all on display. Dream cars are on display at the auto show too ! Vehicles include Ferrari, Maserati, and Lotus.

i do trade shows all the time in our field.automotive transmission seminars.we set up all of our own stuff and teach all new trans diagnoisis and what to expect to find in all these new cars.it aint 350 and 400 no more!!LOL sheit i have to have a book just to figure out whats in these new cars now.

I've been to so many trade shows as an exhibitor, attendee, speaker, and even one or two that I helped do the setup...I've lost count.

Im sore man, I rolled out carpet all day long for the auto show,
thing is 3 guys kick it while to guys pull on one end. Kicking is pretty much like stomping your feet with a forward motion.

Ive been one of the guys in back on there fork lifts unlaod the trucks and bring out the cratesto there spots on the floor.

I worked on the Lexus booth. theres gonna be 9 cars.

This is gonna be a raised platform with a railing around it.

Today was a fun time.... show starts wednesday.

No cars ... where are they.

I worked in the Chevy booth all day. Builden these car platforms
