I met a guy that builds them & has a shop. Hes raced all over california at such tracks as Laguna & has even raced in Ohio. He used to have a big time sponsored team and won many chanpionships. He has many carts.
Such as this water cooled 125. & this dual motered monster. These
carts go upwards to 130-140 pmh. I could get into won for as little
as $1500 bucks... The last pic. could this be mine...no not yet. Theres
track near me too.

Joe,

Pats Acres is the local "Kart" track

gocarts are toys, Karts are real race vehicles.

WKF also runs at PIR and other local tracks.

"Shifter" Karts have a heck of a learning curve and it is best to start with a slower and easier to maintain Kart before moving up. I would go look online for the World Karting Federation and any online articles they might have on getting started.

Either way, look at buying a full suit, helmet, neck brace, rib protector, etc. Once dressed, make sure the seat fits you perfectly. Otherwise, a poor fitting seat could cause you to have bruised ribs or worse. They corner very violently once the tires are warmed up and are as close to driving F1 as a normal person can get without owning a F1 team.

There's a surprising amount of adjust-ability built-in to those Karts, including where your seat is located on the chassis, specific braces on the chassis (which is the suspension), etc.

If you're looking to screw around, buy a cheap gocart and bash it around the neighborhood.

We drove it, I drove it. He has really low profile tires and 18 " rims.

Says he hates it he has to be so cautious on bumps and dips.
as soon as the tires are done hes gonna put the stock rims and tires back on.
