I bough this set up to use on a four cylinder Ford engine we were building for a race car. I sold the race car, but kept the carbs for a custom Harley Davidson project. We the Harley got sold too so now I don't need the carbs. The carbs are nice and free and seem to be complete. These will work equally well on a car or a bike. I have seen a couple of nice Harleys with these carbs on them.

This is good enough for Tamworth country and western!

Bid, there dirt cheap if there any good

Here's what I'd say, take it as you will.

40dcoe's come up on ebay frequently
nothing said about operating condition, or last rebuild
manny won't work so you'd have to get one to fit the 924
no linkage
no stacks
no extra jets, and you'd probably have to rejet them

If you're thinking "hey, quick project to throw some carbies on...", or "once in a lifetime deal...", I don't think that's the case. Not enough here to just throw them on and you'd have to find the other stuff. OTOH, if you're patient, you should be able to accumulate the parts necessary for a carbie conversion but sometimes those "once in a lifetime deals" can get pretty expensive.

You may have done so already so AIA if so, but think it through before you leap off the carbie cliff.

There's a manifold listed on here. Those carbs have a set of air cleaners. I can drive up to Summit and get the needed fuel pump. I'm going to wait for the details on the manifold until I make a call...
