I think Asheville to Blowing Rock would make a good trip.

I picked the Tail of The Dragon because it almost 100 miles closer to me than Asheville, but I've always wanted to drive the parkway. I'll have to stop at my brother's over night its about halfway.

If we could do something between the 21-23 March, I am planning a trip where I will be driving up north from Sebring Int'l Speedway, all the way to Detroit. I am currently planning to do the entire length of the Parkway as part of the trip. I will be driving a very special car that I just acquired last week in Orlando. Here's the current planned itinerary:
Thu 17 Mar: arrive at MCO
Fri 18 Mar: spend the day at 12 Hours of Sebring
Sat 19 Mar: visit friends in Florence SC
Sun 20 Mar: visit friends in Decatur GA
Mon 21 Mar through Wed 23 Mar: drive the entire length of the Parkway
Thu 24 Mar: visit friends in Rockville MD
Fri 25 Mar: arrive back in Detroit

If you guys could accommodate a mid-week afternoon / evening drive on one of those dates, I'd love to meet up. Trust me, you'll want to see what I'll be driving
