So I have an '87 924 and recently my right headlight went out! Tried replacing it, still nothing. The plug and fuse are okay. Another problem I am having with my headlights is that when I turn my brights on, at any moment in time my headlights will completely shut off leaving me to turn the switch off then back on to get my headlights working again. Anyone experience the same thing at any point in time? TIPS OR HOW-TO's would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks

Ja. Check the wires running from the plug at the headlight bulb back. With pop up headlights the wires have to flex over and over again and can cause shorting. Its happened to me.

Sounds like you also need a headlight switch. It uses a sliding type contact, and over time the contact buttons inside the switch simply erode from the sliding movement and fail to contact reliably.

Also - should find a small bunch of brown wires attached to the frame rails behind each headlight. These can-will eventually corrode/break, cutting power to some of the lighting..
