Hi,

I seem to have a problem with my starter solenoid ( won't turn over, got some hesitations last few times it did start, everything else seems to check out fine)

I've been using the haynes manual, but it only mentions removing a shroud followed by 2 bolts. However, once I got under my car, I couldn't see any way to access the two bolts without removing my exhaust!!

What am I missing? Do I really have to remove the exhaust from the exhaust manifold to access the starter?

By the way, do you folks recommend trying to clean the solenoid or ordering a new starter-with-solenoid and just swapping it over?
