Should be fun!

Here's a shot from last year with our car (red car in the back) and the ChumpShark:

I'm going to try and provide a video feed from a webcam in our pits:

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/dirty-drifters-chump-car-portland

I might try to upload some of the videos from the in-car camera as well.

We'll see if it works, so far their software is a little buggy and I don't know about the track's WiFi access.

That Front would be really neat to see on an actual Shark, the 928!

Congrats to Rocco R16v, whose team got 2nd on Saturday (12 hour) and first today (6 hour)!

These guys have worked extremely hard on getting their team up to speed, and it was great to see them win!

Anti-congrats are unfortunately in order for whoever drove their Audi this afternoon after lunch. I'd call her or him an idiot, but idiots deserve better.

I concur! Congrats to Rocco and his team, they did a great job of racing clean. Their best lap times were 1:41.406 on Saturday and 1:39.113 on Sunday.

Congrats to Rasta and the rest of his team in the final performance of the ChumpShark They finished 7th on both days, talk about consistency! (best lap time: 1:41.478 on Sunday and 1:38.813 on Saturday)

Our car finished 42nd (best lap time: 1:44.843) on Saturday and 36th (best lap time: 1:40.758) on Sunday.

The hard shunt by a Honda on Saturday morning didn't help, no thanks for saying sorry or "whoops" Had to cut the fender back to clear the tire. Oh well, that's racing I guess.

Other issues that caught us up were: Blew the outlet hose off the turbo twice (went from 11psi to 7 for a few laps, then 5 for a few laps, then pit, heh), lost a front motor mount bolt (it was put on with loctite and a nyloc nut and still fell out!) which destroyed both outer CV joints. Broke a vacuum fitting to the vacuum distribution block, had to extract the broken remnants of the fitting. Finally, a metal coolant bypass line broke from fatigue (the builder noted that it might and that he'd replace it with a flex line for the race, which didn't happen. He was also the one that got to fix it halfway through my stint Sunday morning, sigh.)

Got some great in-car footage and some footage from the chicane on Saturday. I'll try to edit it down to something interesting and post it on youtube.

Glad things went well for all. We will be running at least 2 chumps way over here in the northeast in 2011. Can't wait ! We did 1 LeMons and the "longest day" at Nelson Ledges this past year. Hopefully we can squeeze in 4-6 for 2011....that is if the Baghdad Taxi can hold up to the abuse
